One of the most attractive features of our canals is the colourful decoration of the boats and their equipment. That 'roses & castles' tradition survives today, not just on the canals but also on prized possessions in homes throughout the world. Julie decorates boats and items of canal ware with roses, castles, scrolls, stars and sign writing as well as teaching canal art as a college subject and through talks in school on canals & canal art.
